The Diplomats Club: On the Rise to Success!

Are you interested in being a part of Crossroads by volunteering and staying connected with the latest news? We recently started a club within Crossroads called "The Diplomats Club", where Crossroads staff, parents and guardians of our clients, family, friends and people in the community are welcome to attend.

The Diplomats Club started in January 2016, with the first meeting in Council Bluffs. We will be traveling up I-29 to Missouri Valley, Onawa and Sioux City. We meet over the lunch hour on a Friday once a month, and lunch is always provided to those who attend...YAY!

Crossroads has goals for each Diplomats Club meeting and we thrive to accomplish these. We are asking for volunteers to help with Crossroads events (golf tournaments, walkabouts, gift wrapping, spring planting and cleaning, landscaping, and other activities throughout the year), provide support and guidance, feedback, suggestions and ideas for new events that our clients can participate in, and mostly, to be the "eyes and ears" in the community.

With The Diplomats Clubs being a new task that Crossroads has taken on, we are delighted that the new club has been successful so far; with roughly 10 to 20 attendees at each meeting. We continue to improve those number of attendees for each meeting and to also achieve our goal of; Bonding together for the Clients of Crossroads of Western Iowa.

Please contact Ric (ric.miller@cwiowa.org or 712.328.1930) for the schedule of the Diplomats Club meeting and when each location (Council Bluffs, Missouri Valley, Onawa or Sioux City) will meet. Each community will have a meeting 3 times a year. We want volunteers likes you, who can make a difference in the lives of those we serve!
